Message from the President

RIX CORPORATION has a century long history since its foundation in 1907. We started our company through sales of tabi, or Japanese style socks. We then sold jika-tabi, or sock-like shoes with rubber soles, to Yawata Steel Works, a national steel plant. Since then we have expanded our business covering various industries.

While expanding business fields, we started manufacturing our own products under the “ROCKY” brand. Now it includes the industry-standard rotary joints, known under the trade name, ROCKY JOINT. We actively engage international business and now have several operation bases outside of Japan including both sales and manufacturing companies. 

We consider ourselves a “Customer-Oriented” company. We distribute a wide range of industrial equipment, components, and consumables that are used in large manufacturing facilities. As we work closely with our customers, we can spot their problems and needs, and offer effective solutions on a global basis. We can also create innovative solutions by collaborating with and integrating products from not only our own manufacturing section but also various suppliers around the world. Our strengths thus lie upon the high-level problem-solving capabilities.

We are committed to refining those strengths by actively introducing the latest IT and AI technologies and strive to provide customers with solutions in a timely manner as their reliable partner. We work in partnership with our suppliers as well for product improvement and development based on the feedback on sales as well as on customers’ expressed needs. By doing so, we pursue further improvement in ever comprehensive problem-solving capabilities.
